Foreign Minister participates in GCC-Morocco joint ministerial meeting

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a joint ministerial meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Kingdom of Morocco held in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait and President of the current ministerial session, representing the GCC, alongside  Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the longstanding historical and fraternal ties between the GCC and Morocco within the framework of their strategic partnership, assessed progress and discussed means to further enhance cooperation in political, economic, and developmental fields to serve their mutual interests.

The council assigned its General Secretariat with coordinating with Morocco to convene technical working group meetings in line with the joint action plan to strengthen the strategic partnership across all areas.

The meeting discussed the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to restore security and stability in the region, as well as means to develop cooperation, coordination, and consultation on various regional and international challenges of common interest, while exchanging support in international forums.
